a winter ski trip

Our Hapkido instructor and family invited us to join them in a trip to Muju-san (mountain) for a mid-winter break in Jan. We stayed at "Neverland" yes, as in Peter Pan. Our cabin was named "Tinkerbell's house" in Korean but the english translation somehow came out as "The house sinkable." We tried to explain why we were laughing at the sign but couldn't quite get across that 'sinkable' was quite different to 'Tinkerbell' even though they sound the same.

Maria with Mr. Lee

We went in an awesome gondola ride that took us to the top of a 4km run down the mountain. A little daunting for those of us (...Maria) who hadn't learnt to ski in Austria, like some of us (...Mark)
Just like when we went to the beach and they saw Mark in the water for the first time, our Korean friends were equally as impressed with Mark on skis.
